Oliver has a long track record of organising music festivals. He was Chair of the 10 strong volunteer organising Committee of the award winning Upton Blues Festival for seven years, leading the growth from 400 to 4000 campers. He also instigated and ran Blues at The Fold (Worcester) and the Jinney Ring Blues Festival (Bromsgrove) for six years before giving them to their respective venues to continue to run. In conjunction with the splendid Tim Porter in Lower Brailes, South Warks he also helped to launch Blues at Broom Hill. He also ran three years of Nest of Voices and the World in a Day Festival.
Other than Upton he organised the festivals through his not-for-profit organisation Jigsaw Community Festivals which designed, built and owned a marquee and stage regularly used at these and other festivals. Jigsaw Community Festivals donates its profits to the World Land Trust to buy and protect Rainforest.
